The House of Lords committee says:
“We think it’s very upsetting that parts of the Equality Act 2010 are still not law and have been ignored by the people who should be working on them.”
“We think there is no excuse for the Government’s delay in making Section 36 happen. This is about making changes in a part of a building to make it easier for people to live there, for example a ramp. The work should be done within six months and have a timetable.”
“We are disappointed with the Government’s position on access to justice. We think the Government should be thinking about making sure that disabled people can access justice.”
