Next Stop Announcements on Southern Vectis Buses

Southern Vectis have announced that they will be trialling audio and visual announcements on their services.

The system has been put in place on two of their most popular routes, route 1 (Newport – Cowes) and route 9 (Newport – Ryde). They are hoping that they will eventually implement the new initiative across all bus routes.

Matt Kitchin of Southern Vectis has said:

“Next stop announcements will make it far easier for passengers to know exactly where they are on their journeys with us. And that should go a long way to making them feel more confident about taking the bus.” – Matt Kitchin, Southern Vectis General Manager
